The Story of Hunter’s Coffeeshop

Hunter’s Coffeeshop has been around since the last century, starting back in 1985. The first Hunter’s Coffeeshop was located on the famous Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam. At that time, the area was known for a lot of illegal activities. However, this didn’t stop the owner from opening a coffeeshop there. The location was carefully chosen, not by the owner, but by his dog named Hunter. Hunter marked the territory, hence the name Hunter’s Coffeeshop. Over the years, Hunter’s territory expanded, both within and outside of Amsterdam.

Difference Between Weed and Hash

Weed refers to the dried flower tops and some leaves of the cannabis plant. These are picked, dried, and then crumbled to be smoked. Weed contains THC, which gives a psychoactive effect, and CBD, which provides a relaxing effect. Hash is also made from the flower tops of the cannabis plant, but only the resin glands are collected. After drying, the flowers are sieved, leaving resin grains. These are pressed together to form an oily resin. Because the resin is compacted, hash is denser than weed and generally has a higher CBD content and more THC. This is why hash usually costs more per gram. Both weed and hash can be smoked pure, but most people mix cannabis with tobacco.

At Hunter’s Coffeeshop Zandvoort, only cannabis use is allowed. Consuming alcohol and hard drugs like cocaine, GHB, XTC, MDMA, speed, amphetamines, LSD, or other drugs is strictly prohibited. Want an alcoholic drink? Come to our Hunter’s Bar on Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam.

If you’re looking for a coffeeshop in Zandvoort, you’re at the right place at Hunter’s Coffeeshop. Visit us at our location on Stationsstraat, just a three-minute walk from Zandvoort aan Zee station. Our Zandvoort coffeeshop is a stone’s throw from the beach; within five minutes, you can have your feet in the sand. Perfectly located! After enjoying a joint, you can easily chill on the beach and enjoy the sea. Not beach weather? Stay inside and order a nice drink.

We have a total of six coffeeshops, one in Zandvoort, one in Haarlem, and four in Amsterdam. If you’re in Haarlem or Amsterdam, visit one of our other coffeeshops. In Haarlem, you can find us on Schoterweg. In Amsterdam, we’re located in Amsterdam West on Orteliusstraat, in Amsterdam Noord on Papaverweg and Waterlandplein, and in Amsterdam Centrum on Utrechtsestraat. Want a drink in Amsterdam? Access to Hunter’s Coffeeshops

Anyone 18 years or older and a resident of the Netherlands can enter Hunter’s Coffeeshop Zandvoort. Minors are not allowed and will not be admitted. Make sure you have your ID with you, as you’ll be asked for it at the entrance. Copies are not accepted. If you cannot show a valid Dutch ID or residence document proving you are of age, you will not be allowed in.
